Warren Eugene Dunshee, Sr of 2915 Chason Road, Parkton, died July 10, 2013 at UNC Chapel Hill at the age of 81.
He was born in Brandon, Vermont on May 19,1932 to the late Rollin and Bertha Keys Dunshee. He was preceded in death by his wife Mae Crafton Dunshee and his son Donald G. Dunshee. He was a member of Sandy Grove United Methodist Church where he served on many committees and positions. He served in the US Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired as a Master Sgt. in the Special Forces January 1973. He was also a volunteer with the Lumber Bridge Fire Department.
He is survived by two sons, Larry Dunshee (Michelle) of St. Pauls, and Warren Dunshee, Jr. (Betty) of Parkton; a brother, Dwight Dunshee of Massachusetts; two sisters, Bernice Cameron and Lucille Robichaud, both of Massachusettsof; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday July 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday July14, 2013 at Sandy Grove United Methodist Church with Pastor Judson Dunlap and Pastor Richard Jackson officiating.
