Joseph Bennie Hammack of Smyrna, South Carolina, formerly of Raeford, died at his home on April 1, 2014.
He was born in Hoke County and was preceded in death by his mother, Vera Kathleen Hammack, his brother, George Hammack, and his sister, Sue Haupt.
He is survived by his wife Linda J. Hammack of Smyrna; his sons, Thomas Murray (Melissa) of Jefferson City, Tennessee, and Trey Bartell (Aleena) of La Mesa, California; his daughter, Michelle Anderson (Obrian) of Maxton; his sisters Vera Kohls (Fred) of Marion, Helen Robinette (Rob) of Raeford, and Kay Chmelik (Kevin) of Raeford; and four grandchildren, Aaron, Jessica, Laiylah, and Aidan.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Antioch Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 6583 Red Springs Road, Red Springs, NC 28377.
