Ernestine Harden Hinson of 371 Mockingbird Hill Road died Monday, January 05, 2015 in FirstHealth Moore Regional at the age of 75.
She was born in Robeson County on September 27, 1939 to the late Dolan Harden and Lula Edwards Harden. She was a faithful member of The Church of God of Prophecy in Raeford as well as the church pianist. She was also a member of The Raeford Trio for more than 50 years. She was employed with the A&P Grocery Store in the 1970s and 1980s. She dearly loved her church family.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Franklin Hinson of Raeford; two daughters, Dianne Hinson, Karen H. Avery (Ashley) both of Raeford; her son, Brian Hinson (Leslie) of Raeford; her brother, Delton Harden (Juanita) of Raeford; her sisters, Geraldine Garrett of Livingston, Tennessee, and Carrie Jacobs (Harold) of Lumberton; grandchild Dolan Hinson of Raeford; and a special niece, Brenda Kellis (Harold) of Raeford.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2014 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2014 at The Church of God of Prophecy with Bishop Randall Snead officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
