Survivors are: his wife, Mary McKinnon; children, Wanda J. Beck(Michael), Alvin Walker, Jr.(Cynthia), and Carl J. Walker(Sherrell); sister, Barbara Walker Mack, eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two godsons and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. in Freedom Chapel AME Zion Church. Private burial will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
Viewing will be held at Buie Funeral Home Friday, March 20 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
