Nancy M. Currie, of Red Springs, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, in Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton at the age of 71.
Mrs. Currie was born in Lumber Bridge on Sept. 8, 1943, to the late William Grady Marley and Rebecca C. Marley. She was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are: her dearly beloved husband of 50 years, Hector E. "Eddie" Currie of Red Springs; her son, Kenneth E. Currie and his wife, Gwendolyn, of Lumberton; her sister, Ann Wright and her husband, Bobby, of Arizona; two brothers, W.G. Marley Jr. and his wife, Frances, and Morris D. Marley and his wife, Beverly, both of North Carolina; two brothers-in-law, Billy Currie and his wife, Janet, and Harold Currie, both of Red Springs; three stepgrandchildren, Jared, Justin and Jessica; five great-stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, in Antioch Presbyterian Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Presbyterian Church, 6563 Red Springs Road, Red Springs, NC 28377; or to West Lumberton Baptist Church, 2320 W. 5th St., Lumberton, NC 28358.
