Howard Vander "Whit" Whittington, 87, of Raeford, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vander Bilt and Nona Whittington.
Survivors are: his wife, Bessie Lee Whittington; daughters, Kristine Marie Sheridan and Cindy Patricia Hampton; son and daughter-in-law, Vancleef and Kathleen Whittington.

The funeral will be held Saturday, January 16 at 1 p.m. at Hope Mills Church of God. Burial will be Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services in Hope Mills.
