Carolyn Meismer Brown, 78, of Rockwell passed away on Friday
July 22, 2016 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. She was born June 23, 1938
in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late Jesse C. Meismer and the late
Evelyn Knight Meismer.
She was educated in the Cabarrus County schools. She was a
member of Open Door Baptist Church in Richfield. She loved to mow and do yard
work and anything that was outdoors. But she enjoyed spending time with her
family most of all.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her
husband Robert "Bob" Brown who she married on June 30, 1962 .
Survivors include two sons, Don Brown (Debbie) of Gold Hill
and Jeff Brown of Rockwell; one daughter, Robin Shoe (Ray) of Rockwell; one
brother; J.C. Meismer (Nora) of Raeford; seven grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 26, 2016 at Open
Door Baptist Church in Richfield. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to service time.
