William Lewis Tew of Fayetteville died Friday, July 15, 2016 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center at the age of 80.
He was born in Robeson County on May 5, 1936 to the late William Pearlie Tew and Annie McDougald Tew. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth "Kitty" Sharpe Tew. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
He leaves behind his beloved son, Scott W. Tew of the home; his brother, John T. Tew; two sisters, Patsy E. Talley and Bobbie A. Peters, all of Rockfish; and a stepdaughter, Karen D. Smith of Vicksburg.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. July 20, 2016 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Ave, Raeford, NC 28376.
The funeral will begin at 11a.m. the same day in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
