He was born in Lumberton on July 6, 1962. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne H. Byrd Sr. and his brother, Wayne H. Byrd Jr.
He was the owner and operator of Byrd's Alignment in Raeford. His hobbies were working on automobiles, wood working and he coached soccer when his daughter was playing. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy's and UNC Chapel Hill fan.
His is survived by his daughter, Christine L. Byrd of Raeford; his mother Frances Clark Byrd-Wood of Raeford; two brothers, Tony Byrd and Robin Byrd and his wife Theresa their son Austin of Raeford; a sister in law, Sherryl Byrd of Raeford.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford with a Memorial service to follow at 8 p.m.
