Carl E. Brock of Raeford died Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 83.
He was born on June 16, 1936 to the late Carson K. Brock and Lucy Hales Brock. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Brock.
He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as the only life-time Deacon, Sunday School Director and choir member. He retired from the Department of Correction.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Peggy S. Brock of Raeford; two sons, Carlton Brock and wife Gayle of Monroe, and Bill Brock (Jill Williams) of South Port; 4 grandchildren, Linda, Ashley and husband Brian, Justin, and Amber and husband Mitchel; eight great-grandchildren, Christian, Carly, Addy, Garrett, Graham, Parker, Scarlett and Blakely; a brother, Boyd Brock and wife Elizabeth of Hope Mills; two sisters, Patsy Lewis of Jacksonville, and Martha Aldridge of Columia, SC; and a special niece, Shirley Roman.
Visitation will be held 2:00 until 3:00 on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist Church.
A memorial service will follow at 3:00 pm at the church with Pastors Toby Neal and Stephen Bennett officiating.
