Charles (Chuck) Ernest Belton of Lumber Bridge died Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at age 60.
He was born in Fayetteville on March 31, 1960 to the late Retired CSM Henry Thomas Belton and Mable Wall Belton. He was employed with the Cumberland County School System. He was an avid hunter and loved to watch NASCAR.
He is survived by two sons, Charles Thomas (Tommy) Belton (Jewelya Elledge) of Lumber Bridge, and Robert Chase Belton of Fayetteville; a grandson, Charles (Charlie B.) Ray Belton of Lumber Bridge, his fiancé Terrie McLean of Lumber Bridge,and her children Billie Hart (Maj. Brian Hart) of Kentucky and William G. McLean (Kayleigh) of Hope Mills, and Terrie; five grandchildren; three sisters, Betty L. Belton-Oats (Donald) of Lumber Bridge, Gina Windham (James) of Holden Beach, and Carol Belton-Britton (Daniel) of Troy; a brother Robert (Bo) Belton of Southern Pines; and a half-brother, Thomas Sanford (Lois) Alexander City, Alabama.
