Elaine Cole Hendrix, 93, died Saturday, May 7, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst.
She was born in Hoke County on January 26, 1929 to the late Jonah Isaac Cole and Barbara Lucas Cole. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Hendrix and her daughter Robbie Hendrix McLean. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the church choir, and retired from Burlington Industries in Raeford.
She is survived by her a daughter, Brenda Hendrix Barr and her husband Sandy of Saint Augustine, Florida, two grandsons, Greg McLean (Tracy Nation) of Georgia, and Brad Barr and his wife Kristi of Texas, and two sisters, Ruby Easterling of Southern Pines, and Myrte Davis of Aberdeen.
Visitation will be 4-5 p.m. Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Highland Biblical Gardens with the Rev. James Wilhide officiating.
