She was born in Robeson County on Feb. 25, 1941 to the late John Willie Bullard and Harriett Locklear Bullard.
She was a member of Smithtown Church of God in Maxton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Autry Rogers. She is survived by two sons, Jeff Rogers of Red Springs, and Roy Rogers and his wife Norma Jean Rogers of Charlotte; two daughters, Deborah Rogers of Red Springs, and Carolyn Quenga and her husband Ronald Leon Quenga of Red Springs; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, four sisters, Daphnia Chavis of Maxton, Virginia Lowery of South Carolina, Helen Jacobs of Maxton and Judy Bullard of Maxton; a brother, Joseph Locklear; and a special friend Maxine Locklear.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at Smithtown Church of God, Maxton.
