He was born in Hoke County on September 18, 1952, to the late George Pittman and Elizabeth (Lib) Carter Pittman.
He loved to travel and was in a local band, Wild Oats, before owning and operating Concrete's Finest. Later in life, his hobbies were grilling, working on cars, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon Elizabeth Pittman and Nancy Elaine Pittman Molchan.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Pamala Thompson Pittman of Raeford; two daughters, Sarah M. Pittman of Raeford, and Sharon D. Pittman (Zach Warner) of Raeford; two stepchildren, Michelle Richmond (Shane Richmond) of Kingsville, Maryland, and Rocky Godwin (Kristina Godwin) of San Antonio, Texas; and three granddaughters, Heather, Kiersten, and Wynn.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 6-8 pm at Crumpler Funeral Home.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Pittman Grove Baptist Church at 3 pm.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
