Michael Devon Martin died August 11, 2023 at the age of 35.
He was born March 18, 1988 to Mable McNeill Martin and James Michael Brower in Pinehurst.
His death leaves heartaches only time can heal. Some may forget him now that he's gone, but we will remember him no matter how long.
He was educated at J.W. Knuckles in Lumberton, Hawkeye in Red Springs and East Hoke in Raeford. He graduated from North Moore High School in Robbins.
While attending school, he played basketball and football as a wide receiver, and ran track. He loved working with his hands, painting, drawing, and making statues. He also loved working outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Theodore and Bernice Brower; uncles, Nathan Brower and Stanly Brower; and grandfather, Leroy McNeill.
He is survived by his mother, Mable McNeill Martin of Red Springs; his father, James M. Brower (Carolyn) of Robbins; his grandmother, Dorothy McNeill of West End; sisters, Angela Tilghman of Raeford, Kimberly Martin of Red Springs, and Kalah Nicole Martin of Robbins; brothers, Robert Martin of Petersburg, Virginia, Timothy Martin (Tina) of Aberdeen, and Keith Martin of Aberdeen; uncles, Larry McNeill (Deborah) of High Falls, Marvin McNeill (Angela) of West End, Tommy McNeill of Siler City, Calvin P. McPhaul of Raeford, Theron L. Brower (Pauline), Nelson Brower (Wylene), and Tony Brower (Donna) all of Robbins; aunts, Rita Mbono (Ben) and Dorothy Ann Lane (Thom) of Jackson Springs, Sharon McNeill of West End, and Patricia Godwin of Raeford; nephews, Christopher McNeill of Raeford, Andrea Thomas of Raeford, Eric Martin of Red Springs, Robert Martin of Virginia and Isaiah Martin of Asheboro; three great-nephews, Kamari McNeill of Raeford, Maleak Martin of Asheboro, and Jocoby McNeill of Hot Springs, Arkansas; niece, Shalyn Blackmon of Fayetteville; and a host of family and friends.
