Colleen Lee Kinney died June 15, 2024 at the age of 72.
She was born October 14, 1951 in West Virginia to the late Frances and Coy Cole.
She was a housewife, and a mother who was dedicated to her family. She loved going to church and having her family there with her. She enjoyed crocheting, playing games, fishing, and spending time with her friends. She loved spending time with her animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed going to the mountains and the beach. She was the rock that held her family together.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Kinney.
She is survived by her four children, Tracie Yates (Jamie), Patricia Kinney, Lisa Richards (Adam), and Eugene Kinney (Monica); nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren, with one on the way; a sister, Renee' Whitted; and a brother, Robert D. Cole.
A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Crumpler Funeral Home. A private ceremony for friends and family will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 in the Kinney Family Cemetery 775 TC Jones Rd. Raeford, NC 28376 with Pastor Jay Barr officiating.
