Andrena Deese Scott, 63, of Deese Road in Pembroke died March 15, 2016.
She was born to Edith Locklear Deese and the late Caswell "Toke" Deese on March 7, 1953.
She was a teacher and executive director of Career Technical Education with Hoke County Schools for more than 30 years. She was a leader at Berea Baptist Church, where she was instrumental in organizing Bible Drill, Vacation Bible School, and Team Kid and served as a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Matthew and Jessica Scott and their children Gabriel and Ethan, as well as Phillip and Megan Henderson and their son Alek.
The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Friday at Berea Baptist Church. Burial was in the Deese family cemetery.
