Faye Emanuel Williams, 64, of Raeford, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 21, 2016 after a brief Illness.
She was born in Cumberland County on June 13, 1951. She was preceded in death by her mother, Luberta Goodman Emanuel.
She was a first grade teacher and a reading teacher until she retired. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her students. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Raeford where she was involved in the WMU, choir, hand bells and Sunday School.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy R. Williams of Raeford; a daughter, Aprille Williams Compton and husband Shane of Shelby; a son, Brian Williams and wife Kelley of Charleston, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Peyton and Emma Compton, and Brynn and Harper Williams; her father, Lawrence V. Emanuel of Dunn; and three sisters, Kay Emanuel of Raleigh, Valerie Minervini and husband Leo of Raleigh, and Kim Beasley and husband Boyd of Dunn
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at First Baptist Church.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas Lee and Pastor Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
