Dougal Locklear of 290 Loop Road
Raeford, died Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the age of 89.
He was born September 28, 1926
in Scotland County to the late Barto Locklear and Nettie Jacobs Locklear. He is
also preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Ida Alexandria
Wielachowski Locklear.
He is survived by two nephews, Ed Kidd of
Shalotte, and Dennis Wilech of Towson, Maryland; a godson, Robert W, Thrush, Jr. of
Pinehurst; and a special friend, Audrey Locklear.
He was a retired building
contractor and developer in North Caroina, South Carolina, Virginia and Maryland.
He was also responsible for building the
Chapel of Jesus Christ Family Worship Center.
He was a kind and loving
person. He loved life itself, his God, all of his brothers and sisters in
Christ, especially his wife Ida and their pet dog of many years “Buttons.”
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 with viewing beginning at 12:30 at Chapel of Jesus
Christ Family Worship Center, 2295 North Horace Walters Road (Five Points
Community) Raeford, officiated by the Rev. Earl Henderson and Pastor Rebecca
O’Berry.
