Carl Douglas Hinzy Jr. of Raeford died in his sleep at his home on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at age 56.
He was born in Laurinburg on November 30, 1964. He graduated from McColl High School in 1984 and served in the U.S. Marines Corps from 1984 until 1998.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl Douglas Hinzy Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Michele Hinzy of Raeford; a daughter, Jessie Collins of Raeford; his mother, Maxine H. Pell and her husband David Pell of Florence, South Carolina; his siblings, Jackie Hinzy and his wife Cindy of Confluence, Pennsylvania, Tammy Davenport and her husband Michael of Rocky Mount, Jimmy Hinzy of Florence, South Carolina, and Melissa Haywood and her husband Donnie of McColl, South Carolina.
Visitation will be held from 9-8 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2021 at Crumpler Funeral Home, Raeford.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Beaver Dam Cemetery in McColl, South Carolina.
