She was born in Cumberland County on April 4, 1926 to the late Walter Presley Baker and Faye Theresa Oliver Baker.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Raeford. She was a guidance counselor for the Hoke County School System for 20 years. She was a loving and devoted mother and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness

She is survived by three sons, Mike Jordan and his wife Beth of Georgetown, South Carolina, Bob Jordan and his wife Amy of Cary, and John Jordan and his wife Polly of Raeford; three daughters, Beth Foster and her husband Bill of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Kim Williamson and her husband Don of Ocean Isle Beach, and Suzanne McGougan and her husband Joe of Elgin, South Carolina; 10 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held Sunday.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
