Infant Carter Okello Nkrumah unexpectedly died Saturday, January 22, 2022.
He was born in Winston-Salem on December 3, 2021.
He will be deeply missed by his parents, Nicole Marie Mitchell of Raeford, formerly of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Johnson Nkrumah of New Britain, Connecticut; maternal grandparents Shelley Mitchell Bowens and Frederick Bowens of Winston-Salem, and Robert Mitchell and his wife Kimberly of Anderson, South Carolina; maternal great-grandparents Ken and Bunny Couch of Randleman; paternal grandparents, Peggy Marie Davis of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Awuah Nkrumah of West Springfield, Massachusetts; and four brothers, Jahari Nkrumah of New Brittan, and Julian Nkrumah, Logan Nkrumah and August Nkrumah all of Raeford.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 1-3 p.m. pm at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford.
The funeral will follow at 3 p.m at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Burns officiating.
