Miguel Angel Esquilin Elicier died May 19, 2023 at the age of 67.
He was born in Canovanas, Puerto Rico on March 1, 1956 to the late Miguel Esquilin Osorio Jr. and Carmen Elicier Franco.
He was an active member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church, and St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, and supported Iglesia Evangelical Impatiendo Vida Church.
He was the youngest of four siblings. He worked as a police officer in Puerto Rico. He supported athletic programs while in Puerto Rico and assisted in mentoring students in learning musical instruments. He was a member of the police league in Puerto Rico, as well as in Fayetteville. His passion was listening to music, cooking, and helping the homeless.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Calderon Casanova; children, Brenda I. Esquilin, Yamael Esquilin, and Yara A. Esquilin; siblings, Carmen L. Esquilin Rios, Milagros Figueroa, and Norma I. Sotero (Heriberto); significant nieces and nephews, Ivette, Martin, Panchito, Onet, Yaniza, Joeyto, Edward, Jerson, and Yajaira.
