Deloris Revels Goins of Red Springs died Friday, July 28, 2023 at FirstHealth Hospice, at the age of 77.
She was born on September 20, 1945 to the late Tommy Revels and late Vergie McCormick in Robeson County.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Evelyn Locklear and Caroline Revels; and three brothers, Bobby Revels, Vernie Revels, Tommy "Man" Revels Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Larry Goins of the home; one son, Phillip Ray Goins of Red Springs; a daughter that she raised as her own, Leigh Ann Brooks of Red Springs; one brother, Dwight Revels of Red Springs; six sisters, Adell Chavis of Fairbluff; Geraldine Oxendine of Tomah Wisconsin; Jo Ann Revels of Red Springs; Mary Ann Smith, Janice Revels, Loleita Sue Revels all of Shannon; two grandchildren, Carlos Tolentino, Jennifer Tolentino, great-grandchild, Abriella Tolentino, two special friends that were like sisters to her, Regina Hawks and Wanda Locklear, two special caretakers, Darlene Goins and Ivene Jacobs and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral was held Tuesday, August 1 at South Hoke Baptist Church in Red Springs.
