Larry Huggins of Lumberton died Friday, August 18, 2023 at UNC Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, at the age of 76.
He was born to the late Lonnie and Ruby Huggins in Robeson County on May 19, 1947.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Huggins, and a brother, Robert Huggins.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Westfall of Raeford; six sons: Larry Dwayne Huggins of Boone, Jerry Lynn Huggins and his wife Shelley of Boone, Gerald Lee Huggins of Virginia, Billy Ray Huggins and his wife Martha of Robeson County, Larry Dale Huggins of Oklahoma, and Donald Lynn Huggins of Oklahoma; eight grandchildren: Sheila Denise Huggins and her husband Brandon Bullock of Orrum, Selena Desiraye Hoppe of Raeford, Macie Lee Huggins of Fairmont, Jonathon Charles Huggins of Fairmont, Britney Lynn Huggins of Boone, Blake Landis Huggins of Boone and Brandon Lee Huggins of Boone; four great-grandchildren: Carter Huggins, Nova Huggins, Oliva Huggins and Nina Bullock; four sisters: Cheryl Rogers and her husband Wesley of St. Pauls, Ruth Huggins of Lumberton, Lib Tedder and her husband Anthony of Lumberton, and Martha Smith of Lumberton; and a brother, Mark Huggins of Orrum.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Allen Brisson Cemetery, 2020 Marsh Road, Bladenboro with Jonathon Huggins officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite.
